Apple announced the expansion of new tools for its Apple Business Connect program, which could be useful for businesses to connect with Apple customers.
One of the enhancement features is the introduction of a Business Caller ID. This feature will be available in next year, allowing businesses of all sizes (big, medium, or small) to register for Business Caller ID with the brand name and logo.
“We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow,” said David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product.
Apple intends to grow and encourage businesses to connect with one billion Apple users. While contacting consumers, the Business Caller ID feature distinguishes between spam calls and verified businesses. The company also added that they are just a step away from signing in and the service is free for all relevant organizations.
“Next year, businesses will also be able to register for Business Caller ID. Their name, logo, and department appear on the inbound call screen when they contact customers, helping to distinguish verified businesses from spam callers and other unwanted outreach,” Apple wrote in a blog post.
Additionally, businesses are allowed to display their brand logo rather than a category icon while accepting payments through “Tap to Pay” on iPhones. This will help customers to ensure that the businesses are verified and trustworthy.
However, Apple’s initiative toward this service may be a great boost for business owners and customers to protect themselves from spam or fraud calls.
