Game Freak, a video game developer faced a serious security breach reported on 14 October 2024. The company claimed “unauthorized access to our servers by a third party”, which includes personal information of employees and unannounced Pokémon lore stories.
One of the tales is going viral on the Internet surprises Pokémon fans more. The story is about Typhlosion, a fire-type Pokémon introduced in 2 Generation.
The brief extract was reported by Forbes and discovered by some fans of Typhlosion.

This overview highlights the relationship between Pokémon and humans to produce a human-Pokémon hybrid. This may sound weird, but the story’s viral instances indicate this.
Another passage from the leaked story where it is safe to say that Typhlosion is a predator.
“You have broken the branch. Your father will be here soon. Now I am going to do something bad to your father. If you kill me, you can have my eyes, my voice, and my heart. Then I want you to build a fire where I was killed and let it burn. And I want you to sing this song until it burns out.”
The girl said, “Please stop. You’re going to kill my father. Please stop. Let yourself be killed.”
A young girl is kidnapped by a shape-shifting Bakufun (Typhlosion) and tricked by him thinking he is a human. Although, she has a child with him who is half human and half Pokémon. Her father efforts to rescue her daughter and kills Bakufun. Then she returns to the village and is teased by the men in the village. They both run into the forest and are never seen again.
However, it is unclear who wrote the story for what purposes and why it was leaked. It also raises security questions about the system of Game Freak.
