In a recent update, Google is adding the Gemini AI chatbot to Google Workspace, targeting business owners and other industries to help them improve their productivity. With its integration, the company’s data protection will be built-in, saving time and simplifying workflow.
The VP and general manager of Google Workspace said in a blog post that it will “deliver higher-quality work, securely and compliantly, with an AI-powered assistant at work.” It will benefit Workspace users with Business, Enterprise, and Frontline plans who will get automatic access to the new Gemini app features. Right now, they get premium benefits of Gmail, Docs, and Calendar with the option of using their own domains and enterprise-level security.
The Gemini app chatbot lets users ask questions about company data or suggest actions based on the organization’s policies. It is a complete Microsoft productivity suite, and with the addition of the Gemini chat app, users will have more choice and control over their workflow.
Google reiterated that any data, prompts, or generated responses will not be used to train its Gemein models. There will be an additional fee to connect all Google apps directly so the model can make email suggestions or take notes during Google Meet.
Furthermore, the feature will also offer users business-tailored insights, actionable guidance, and extra threat prevention and data protection controls. It will be available to Workspace Business customers over the next few weeks. Moreover, its AI solutions are now SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, and ISO 27001 compliant. It previously gained HIPPA compliance for Gemini earlier this year.
All these features help Google maintain its top stand in the tech industry, also highlighting its new strategy to focus on business productivity tools powered by AI.
