Gen Z kids are different from older folks. A lot of young people now have more mental health troubles. So, they choose not to work.

They are called NEETs, which means “Not in Employment, Education, or Training.”A report from the International Labor Organization says 21.7% of people aged 15-24 are NEETs.

Another study by the Resolution Foundation found 34% of young people aged 18-24 have mental health problems like anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder.

From 2018 to 2022, young folks with mental health issues were more likely to be out of work than those without these problems.

This trend shows how mental health affects young people’s choices about work. Many prefer to focus on feeling better instead of working.

This change is big because it shows how Gen Z cares more about their mental health than regular jobs. It’s a new way of thinking that might change how work looks in the future.
