The Monster Hunter franchise is aiming to create a game for mobile platforms. A recent post on X unveiled that the new Monster Hunter Outlanders is “an Open World Survival game set in the Monster Hunter universe.”
Moreover, Capcom is teaming up with TiMi Studio Group. The Studio is well known for releasing games like Call of Duty: Mobile, Pokémon Unite, and Honor of Kings. Monster Hunter Outlanders described the new game as based on traditional hunting and MonHon experiences.
TiMi Studio Group producer Dong Huang said in a news release, “It’s time for mobile players to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming.”
He explained, “Monster Hunter Outlanders not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but it does it in a massive open world featuring the community and social systems players are looking for today.”
Interestingly, Monster Hunter Outlanders is accessible for single-playing, as well as collaborative playing with up to four players. It allows players to enjoy open-world hunting, mixed ecosystems, and crafting with friends within the reach of smartphones.
Furthermore, the Outlanders will probably have specialized characters to collect in gacha-style fashion and variations of cute pet sidekicks.
However, Capcom and TiMi Studio Group haven’t announced the official release date of Monster Hunter Outlanders but released the announcement trailer. Capcom said the game will be conducting “several play tests in advance” of the global launch.
Despite this, Capcom is also working on a major release in the series of Monster Hunter Wilds for next year. It is available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
