Nio is gearing up to launch its first Onvo model, the L60, and is already working on a second model: a 6-seat SUV set to debut in 2025.
Leaked images from a presentation on Onvo’s software show this new SUV, which will share the same platform as the L60.
Nio’s Senior Vice President, Alan Ai, mentioned that the new model will offer space comparable to an MPV, with a prototype expected soon. Onvo will face competition from Li Auto, which is also introducing a new electric model in 2025, according to William Li, CEO of Nio.
Li Auto’s upcoming crossover might feature 800V architecture and 5C charging.
Recently, Nio’s CEO toured their second factory in the NeoPark complex, showcasing the production of L60 test cars. The facility boasts 310 Automated Guided Vehicles and 941 industrial robots.
