Inquiries about the upcoming smartphone Samsung S25 Galaxy Ultra can find their answers in the latest leaks, especially concerning the new design and much anticipated external modifications of the device. Images that have been released by Android Authority reveal the use of OneUI 7.0 the most recent iteration of the Android interface of Samsung which made its debut early in October.

The noteworthy aspect of the device is not just the presence of OneUI but also the hardware on which it operated which clearly indicates that it is indeed the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. This presents an excellent opportunity to examine the design alterations which have been discussed previously.

The transition to a more rounded design is very evident in the design, while the sharply defined edges and the corners of the Galaxy  S24 contributed to the distinctive appearance. It has also maximised the internal volume, but the design was not universally well-received.

The shift towards a more rounded profile, especially at the corners is expected to increase the comfort of the S25 Ultra’s design. In addition to this, the simplicity of a flat display panel is also worth noticing. Samsung was among the first ones that make use of curved screens starting with the Galaxy Note Edge, a trend that the manufacturers have adopted since then.

By getting back to a completely flat screen, Samsung is making a pragmatic decision that is likely to attract consumer interest in the release of the phone which is supposed to be in early 2025. The design also includes a dedicated space for the Galaxy S-Pen stylus confirming that Samsung is committed to supporting and enhancing the stylus feature. This design choice makes sure that the S-Pen will be included within the device instead of awkwardly protruding from an edge and will be secured by a sufficiently strong magnet.
