| Updated on June 21, 2024

Tonight, there is a chance to see the Northern Lights in Canada and the northern United States. This comes after some big solar storms in May and June. They won’t be as strong as before, but they could still be awesome.

Northern Lights

The best months to see the Northern Lights are typically September through April. But these recent storms have made them visible in more places, including some parts of the U.S.According to the weather forecast, the lights may be visible tonight but will be less bright tomorrow.

They believe that most of Canada, portions of Alaska, and even small areas of North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and Michigan may be home to them. The best time to look is from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. because that’s when the lights can be the brightest.

The Northern Lights have been making a bit of a comeback lately. A major storm in May prompted the weather service to issue a special warning, something they had not done in nearly two decades.

Thus, especially if you are in Canada or the northern United States, keep an eye on the sky between 10pm and 2 a.m. tonight if you want to see something cool. You might even get to see the breathtaking Northern Lights.
