OpenAI seems to be gearing up to introduce a new subscription level for the latest flagship chatbot, ChatGPT. The screenshots that have been shared by AI engineer Tibor Blaho on X, it was revealed that the upcoming tier, ChatGPT Pto will be available for the users at a price of $200 per month, which is ten times the current fee for the ChatGPT Plus Point.
This new offering stands out as the most expensive option as compared to ChatGPT Team at $30, Enterprise which is from $60 to $100 and Edu, which is estimated at around $12 monthly.
As per the screenshot which was offered on X, the Pro Plan promises to provide the best of OpenAI with the highest level of access to the users, it will feature, unlimited use of the latest o1 and o1-mini reasoning models.
Along with enhanced computing power and specifically more graphics-processing unit (GPU) capacity for real-time model interactions.
In contrast to this, the Plus plan has only offered limited access to these advanced models, and VentureBeat has reached out to OpenAI for confirmation and some other additional details such as ChatGPT Pro and will also offer updates as they become available.
This announcement comes just a day after OpenAI revealed that it would kick off a series of holiday-themed announcements titled ‘12 Days of OpenAI’ which is a nod to the traditional ‘12 Days of Christmas’.
Pro subscribers will also benefit from the unlimited access to Advanced Voice Mode and GPT-4o which makes it a strong AI solution tailored for professionals. Although the monthly fee is a major leap from the $20 ChatGPT Plus tier, OpenAI anticipates that this offering can manage to attract users who are eager to increase the capabilities of AI models.
In addition to this, OpenAI will be launching a great initiative which will offer 10 complimentary ChatGPT Pro subscriptions to medical researchers at the top institutions.
