Tales of the Shire is the latest game from the Lord of the Rings franchise, and the company has released the first 16 minutes of gameplay. The full game coming in 2025 will be available simultaneously across console, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
The advert promises to transport the users into the Third Age hobbit world. The goal of this cozy game is to start a new life in a new land with a self-built house and other activities to do around the area. We don’t know yet what will be the challenges in this new game, set to release later this year, but here’s a short review of what the first 16 minutes show the audience.
The scene opens with the green field and a blue bird of the Shire, introducing Gandalf, who leads Hobbit to Bywater to start his journey of building a comfortable stay in a new town.
The fields, the imagery, and the characters are cute and lovable, introducing the audience to the Tolkein’s universe quite aptly. The strength of the franchise novel and movies is in its storytelling. And for the benefit of the audience, the company released Tales of the Shire first official trailer on September 22, 2023 and the second one at the start of 2024.
As the developer Weta Workshop Game Studio, known for working on Lord of the Rings movies, gives us a good glimpse of the upcoming Hobbit world. The fans are more than excited and ready to be part of the Hobbit world and win challenges in the game.
